To affirm the East Jessamine High School’s strong commitment to prepare students for life in the 21st century and to assure knowledge of technology in a competitive work force
To convey our vision, mission and goals ensuring that educational technology is integrated into instruction and school management to enhance student learning, augment the teaching process, and advance the operations of the school system.
Our vision is to adequately prepare students to be lifelong learners and productive citizens in a technological, information-based society.
Through integration of technology in instruction student achievement will increase by improving the quality of curricula and instruction and will support meaningful, engaged learning. By including technology as a strand in every learning component students will have the opportunity to develop lifelong learning skills through the use of technology.
Information technology will allow the school itself to become a networked organization focused around student achievement.
Technology will provide extensive availability to the expertise of other schools, professionals, libraries, and knowledge databases by connecting the school to the community and the world-at-large.
By using technology as an instructional and administrative tool, teachers, administrators, and support staff will become more efficient and effective in facilitating and managing the learning environment.
