Welcome to Counselor's Corner! Here you will find up to date information about Warner's counseling program! Please check out all the fun things we are doing with your students.
At Warner we have a Career Education Program for 4th and 5th grade students called Career Café. Speakers come all throughout the year to talk to our students during their lunch period about their careers. If you would like to volunteer to speak to our students about your career please contact Ashley Gish at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you!
Several times throughout the year a counselor comes into your child's classroom for a guidance lesson! We talk about many different things, such as anger management, manners, social skills, study habits and so much more!
Check with your child to see what they learned!
Throughout the year we have different groups going on at Warner such as attendance group, grief group, newcomers group, incarcerated parent group, etc. We will let you know when our first round of groups will be starting up! Please contact us if you feel your child would benefit from one of these groups.
Each and every day we meet with kids one on one to discuss problems they are having at home or at school! If something is going on in your child's life and you would like for a counselor to see them, please feel free to contact us and we would be happy to do so!
Attendance is very important to us here at Warner! We want your child to be here every day and we will miss them if they aren't! If your child needs to be absent, please send in a parent note or a doctors note into your child's teacher. We give out attendance awards at the end of each nine weeks for those students who have been here every day that semester - please encourage your child to work towards those awards! If you have any questions or concerns about attendance please don't hesitate to contact us!
