This camp is a 5 day training experience for your children to dive deeper into the world of theatre, gaining training in acting, dancing, and singing. The camp will be held at East Jessamine High School from 9-11:30am daily, with a short presentation on the last day of camp for families of the participants. The cost is $150, which includes t-shirts, crafts materials, and snacks for the week.

We are just under ONE WEEK AWAY from DEAR EVAN HANSEN, running June 11-14th! Seventeen-year-old Evan Hansen has felt invisible his entire life. But when a tragedy shocks his community and thrusts him into the center of a rapidly evolving controversy, Evan is given the opportunity of a lifetime: the chance to be somebody else. As his web of well-intentioned lies begins to unravel, though, Evan is forced to confront the fact that the price of belonging may be far steeper than he bargained for. PERFORMANCES: Thursday, June 11th - 7:30pm Friday, June 12th - 7:30pm Saturday, June 13th - 2:30pm (Understudy Performance) Saturday, June 13th - 7:30pm Sunday, June 14th - 2:30pm All performances will be presented in the West Jessamine High School Auditorium. Our JCS Orchestra Ensembles had a wonderful end of the year concert. It was exciting to see their growth throughout the year. Thank you, Ms Sommer, for a wonderful year!

Jessamine County Theatre proudly announces auditions for our upcoming production, Beauty is the Beast! Beauty is the Beast A new title by Don Zolidis Director: Nicole Adams PRODUCTION DATES: Thursday, August 13th - Sunday, August 16th REHEARSALS: Rehearsals will begin on or around July 20th thru August 7th. Technical rehearsals will be August 9th-12th. During technical rehearsals, no conflicts are accepted. If you have any questions regarding the rehearsal calendar please contact Austin at the contact information listed below. ABOUT AUDITIONS: For this casting call, the creative team will only be accepting video audition submissions. Auditionees are expected to submit a video audition by Friday, May 22nd at 11:59pm. This video should include a slate (name, pronouns, and introduce the monologue you are presenting), and a 60-90 second monologue (while the show is primarily a comedy, any style of monologue will be accepted). If called back, callbacks will be held Thursday, May 28th from 4:00pm-7:00pm. If you have any questions submitting any materials, please let us know! CASTING: All auditions are open to Jessamine County High School students, this includes incoming Freshman and outgoing Seniors. No roles have been pre-cast. Congratulations to West Jessamine High School student, Allie Keck, who won the High School Best of Show for the entire state of Kentucky for her painting! Her work was considered Best in Show over all two dimensional categories. Painting, drawing, digital art, photography, printmaking, and graphic design. In sports terms, it is the equivalent of winning an individual state title in wrestling or swimming not just for one weight class or event, but besting them all. Basically she was named Mr./Mrs. Basketball of KY for Art.
