This is Rachel, one of our mental health counselors. This is her first year at East and we are so grateful she joined our team! Here are what others are sharing about her!
From an administrator: Rachel has been such a great addition to our counseling team! Her calm demeanor helps her to support students when they have mental health needs while also strengthening our Tier 3 services.
From a colleague: Rachel Smith is an asset to our school because of her strong relationships with students and her ability to foster a sense of belonging. She encourages and supports students without hesitation and she is rumored to have the best snacks in town.
From a student: She’s a respectful person and very generous. If someone needs help, she takes the time to help them out in any way she can. She's honest and open. That's what you need to be a good counselor. I’m so happy shes at East.

Happy Friday! Let's keep celebrating our school counselors!! This is Mrs. Rocco (surely you know the name by now) and she is one of our amazing school counselors! See what others have to say about her!
From an administrator: Mrs. Rocco is a pillar of support for students and staff alike. There is not a family in Jessamine county that hasn’t had a connection with her at one time or another. Her dedication to our students is second to none.
From a colleague: Since I’ve been here, she’s the person I’ve always counted on to get answers in a way that doesn’t make me feel inadequate. Her kind voice and joking manner always allows for high tense situations to be manageable.
From a student: She is always understanding and respectful. She is funny and can always brighten your day by making you laugh.

Let's continue to celebrate National School Counseling Week! This is Lindsey Mulcahy, one of our school counselors. She graduated from East back in 2003 and never left! Check out what others have shared about her!
From a student: It wouldn’t be East without Ms. Mulcahy! She’s always there when you need her, she doesn’t give up on her students, and she makes the school a better place for everyone!
From a colleague: Ms. Mulcahy gives 110% to her students and our staff. Always happy to share the celebrations of our school and it’s obvious she has a lot of pride for our community.
From an administrator: Mrs. Mulcahy makes East a special place that students want to come to every day. She is a wealth of knowledge for our families and genuinely cares about each one of our students.

We miss their faces but looks like day one of KMEA yesterday was a lot of fun!
