How cool is this? Our students have a chance to spin the Mystery Wheel!
When a class earns all of their class otters by following the 5 STEPS, they unlock a special reward. Mrs. Hoffner comes by and students get to check out all the fun options on the Mystery Wheel and see what their class has earned.
This is such an exciting way to celebrate teamwork, positive choices, and showing the 5 STEPS every day. We love seeing our students work together and cheer each other on! 🤩

Mrs. May's kindergarten classroom had some pretty cool visitors on Friday! They have been learning about farms and farm animals during their knowledge time, and a gracious parent brought in 2 chickens for show and tell! The kiddos loved it!! 🐔

🎉 Wow! Way to go! 🎉
This amazing student has spent the whole year showing dedication to the 5 STEPS: Stopping and Thinking, Trying Their Best, Expressing Themselves, Playing Nice with Others, and Using Safe Hands & Safe Feet. That’s no small feat, and we couldn’t be more proud! 🌟
Did you know your student is also working hard to collect Graduate Profile badges? These special badges are earned by going above and beyond in following our 5 STEPS. Be sure to check in with your student to see which badges they’ve earned so far! They’ve been doing an exceptional job! 🏅
Keep shining bright! ✨

Happy Holidays to our wonderful school family! It truly takes a village to support, encourage, and uplift one another, and we are so thankful for each and every part of our village. Wishing you a season filled with warmth, joy, and special moments. We love our village so much! ❄️✨💙

Lots of memories, learning, singing, dancing, and laughing happen in our hallways, but one of the very best things we see are the friendships that bloom and the way faces light up when friends spot each other. It is always such an unexpected treat! 🌟💛

Due to the winter weather advisory and the forecasted snow, Friday, December 12 will be a snow day in Jessamine County. We are thankful to have one day built into our calendar that we can use without it being NTI or requiring a make up day, and that will be tomorrow. We hope you enjoy the snow, stay safe, and stay warm! ❄️💙

How do you do your all’s NTI work?
In your PJs, at the kitchen table, snuggled up with a pet, or bundled in a blanket fort, we’d love to see! Stay cozy and keep learning! ❄️💻✨

At school, we spend a lot of time learning about the Zones of Regulation.
We have four zones that help us identify how our bodies are feeling. We talk about how our bodies feel, what tools we might need, and ways to make our problems smaller. Our goal is always to get back to the Green Zone. 🌟
Green Zone: Calm, relaxed, and ready to learn 💚
Blue Zone: Sad, tired, or moving slowly 💙
Yellow Zone: Excited, nervous, silly, or a little out of control 💛
Red Zone: Angry, tense, or completely out of control ❤️
It’s okay to feel in different zones, but it’s important that we use our tools to get our bodies back to the Green Zone. ✅ Some tools we use include counting to 10 ✋, taking deep breaths 🌬️, drinking water 💧, washing our hands 🧼, spending a few minutes in the cozy cube 🛋️, or asking a teacher for help 🙋♂️🙋♀️.
Learning about our zones helps students recognize their feelings and practice ways to stay calm and ready to learn!

As our Kindergarten students continue learning letters and sounds each day, they are discovering the joy of decoding and reading words!
Students in Mrs. Baxter's class are having a blast playing a game of Stomp and Spell. They were so excited about their new skills that they even asked to play during indoor recess. Way to stretch those brains and celebrate learning! 📝✨

We are so proud to celebrate one of our kindergarten students in Mrs. Steven’s class as one of our Students of the Month for communication. This student shines every day by sharing ideas, listening with care, and using their voice to grow and connect with others. We are so proud of this accomplishment and the joy this student brings to our school family!

Families play a powerful role in helping students shine. That’s why we are thrilled to celebrate statewide Family Engagement Week from November 17th - 21st. We love partnering with our amazing families and can’t wait to highlight all the wonderful ways you support learning at home and school. Let’s celebrate together!

Happy Veterans Day to all who have served, especially our SRO Justin Wilson. He has a lot of big fans, even though some come in small sizes.

Many thanks to Gilliams Country Market for helping us out when we needed a few more pumpkins! We greatly appreciate their donation to our Pumpkin Patch!

FREE Family Dinner for Jessamine County families with children birth through kindergarten. Please RSVP at the link on the flyer by Wednesday, November 5th.

Starting tomorrow, September 9th, it’s School Safety Week!
We’re celebrating with themed colors each day, so join in and show your school spirit while we learn all about staying safe together!
