Today (and this Sunday on the 15th) we're celebrating National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day!

We are proud to recognize and celebrate our very own Officer Lewis for everything he does for The Providence School! Officer Lewis is more than just a safety presence; he is a vital part of the TPS family who works every day to keep our school safe while building a welcoming and supportive environment for every student. From dominating on the basketball court to joking in the hallway, we are so thankful for all the ways he supports our students!

FRYSC Appreciation Week
JCS will be in session on Tuesday, February 10th on a 2-hour delay. Morning preschool will not attend. This delay will allow for increased daylight/visibility for drivers and students. We wanted to share this news as early as possible so you can begin making necessary arrangements for your morning schedule.
It will be necessary for bus transportation to operate with a limited number of alternate stops and we’ll share that information by 5:30 p.m. today.
Important details to consider:
🚌 Alternate Stops: We will be using some alternate bus stops tomorrow. Specific details regarding these stops will be shared later today. Students will be dropped off at the same location where they are picked up.
🛑 Assess your Area: Please assess the safety around and leading to your student’s specific bus stop. You are the best judge of the conditions in your area.
✅ Your Decision: If you feel it is unsafe for your student to travel to school tomorrow, please contact your School Principal or Attendance Clerk in order to receive an excused absence.
🥞 Breakfast will be served.
🕰️ Dismissal will be at the usual time.
Stay tuned for updates regarding specific bus stops. We’re so excited to see our students tomorrow!

The JCS team has had crews out driving roads, checking buildings, and working on lots tirelessly. Based on their evaluation, there is no way we can return to school for the next few days. In an effort to allow families as much notice as possible, JCS has decided to go ahead and call NTI for Tuesday or Wednesday. Stay safe and stay warm. Please reach out if you need any assistance.
