Communication

Dear Wilmore Families,

We want to make you aware of an important change regarding how we communicate with you.

In accordance with Senate Bill 181, all school-related communication must now occur through district-approved, traceable platforms. To remain in full compliance with this new law—and to ensure the safety and accountability of all school communications—Wilmore Elementary staff will no longer use Class Dojo for two-way communication with families.

What this means for you:

ParentSquare and staff email will now serve as our primary tools for two-way communication with caregivers.

ParentSquare is a communication platform used by schools to connect with parents and guardians. To use ParentSquare, parents can download the app or access it through a web browser, then sign in using their email or phone number registered with the school. Once logged in, parents can view posts, messages, and alerts from the school and teachers, RSVP to events, sign up for volunteer opportunities, and access other school-related information. (We will share direct access links with you soon! We are still preparing 2025–2026 class rosters to ensure smooth connections to your child’s teachers in August.)

Class Dojo will still be used internally to track student behavior, celebrate successes, and reinforce our CUBS expectations. However, it will no longer be used to send or receive messages between staff and families.

As always, our goal is to keep families informed and engaged—just in a more secure and district-aligned way. We encourage all families to ensure they are connected through ParentSquare and feel confident using staff district email as needed. Remember, we will make sure all caregivers are connected to us prior to the start of the 2025–2026 school year.

We appreciate your understanding and support as we implement these changes for the upcoming school year. Thank you for helping us prioritize clear, consistent, and secure communication for our entire Bear Cub community.

Please stay connected to us on Facebook and Instagram this summer for upcoming events and opportunities to stay in touch as a school community!
