What is a school counselor?

A school counselor is a professional with a master's degree in school counseling or a master's degree in social work specializing in school counseling. They provide services to ALL students.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Wilmore School Counseling Program is to provide a comprehensive service to ALL students that will address their social-emotional, career, and academic goals. We provide education including teaching attitudes and skills needed for interacting with others and coping with strong emotions. We believe that collaborating with staff, families, and the community will help ensure the best success for our students as well as reducing any barriers to the learning environment.

Our Vision

Students will become life-long learners in a safe, nurturing environment that embraces the whole child. Students will learn how to respect themselves as well as others and will gain a more comprehensive understanding of our world.
