Haylee truly embodies the JCS Graduate Profile pillar of Communication. She consistently expresses her ideas clearly and thoughtfully, whether she’s collaborating with classmates, presenting in class, or supporting peers in group work. Her ability to listen actively and respond with insight makes her a valued voice in every discussion. We’re so proud to celebrate Haylee as one of our Students of the Month for August. She shows us every day that great communication is about connecting, understanding, and inspiring those around you.
We have LOVED the turnout at our Jags athletic events! On Friday against Dunbar, Joey Schwenger and Matthew Padron led the student section in cheering our Jags through a nail-biter of a game. Shoutout to everyone who showed up—your energy makes the difference! Come out tonight for the boys’ soccer game as we celebrate our graduating class. There’s always a reason to cheer on the Jags!
We are proud to announce Terry as a Student of the Month for August. Terry consistently demonstrates the critical thinking skills we value in our graduate profile. He tackles challenging problems head-on, is not afraid to ask questions to deepen his understanding, and thoughtfully develops his own responses. He shows a genuine curiosity for the material, often going above and beyond what is required to learn more. His positive attitude and contributions to the classroom make him a valued part of our community. We are excited to recognize Terry for his hard work and dedication!
High school can be tough, but we're tougher when we stick together. This Suicide Prevention Month, let's make a pact to be there for each other. Notice if a friend seems a little more distant than usual, or isn't acting like themselves. A simple "Hey, are you okay?" can open the door for a much-needed conversation. This week is Kentucky Safe Schools Week—a time to raise awareness about the many aspects of school safety and to empower students, teachers, parents, and community members to take proactive steps in creating a safe, supportive learning environment for all.
In Advisory today, our students will take part in important discussions around school safety and sign the Kentucky School Safety Pledge.
Today, we'd like to highlight and recognize our SRO, Officer Johnson, for his dedication to keeping our school and Jaguar community safe every day!

Chloe shines as a true example of Connected Citizenship. She is always actively engaged during Advisory lessons and goes above and beyond to support her peers, whether that means helping with homework, assisting with course tasks, or offering encouragement. Chloe is kind to everyone she interacts with and is always the first to lend a hand, even offering to help her teacher during Advisory. Her actions show what it means to be a Jaguar who uplifts others and strengthens our school community.
