We have sixth graders decorating their lockers today after school, Jr. Beta club resuming on Wednesday, and lots of girls basketball and a football game or two for you to check out. You'll also find updated information about student Chromebooks and a save the date for next week's Open House/ Block Party. Enjoy this week's edition of our weekly update.

Hello Jaguar Family and Friends -

Welcome back to EJMS! We hope that you've had a great summer and are enjoying the last couple of days of summer vacation while gearing up to be back to school on Wednesday. We can't wait to see all of our students - the familiar faces and the new ones! It's going to be a great school year! For those of you who are receiving this update for the first time, the EJMS Jaguar Weekly is our weekly newsletter which shares general school information, a weekly calendar, upcoming events and activities, and so much more! We hope that you enjoy our newsletter throughout the year, and we are always excited to hear from you! If you have any questions or ideas, events that the school community might be interested in, etc., let us know. You can find all of our contact info and social media at the end of every newsletter, so you can always be in the know of what's going on at EJMS.

We had such a great day with our newest sixth graders in the building as they walked through their schedules and kicked off the new school year! A highlight of the day was our Rock Paper Scissors tournament, where every student got in on the action and started building community with one another! We’re so excited for the year ahead and can’t wait to see everyone back for the first day of school next week! #proudtoroar

Meet the new EJMS Cross Country Coach, Bradley Leff! I’m incredibly excited and honored to be joining East Jessamine Middle School as the Head Cross Country Coach! I’ve called Jessamine County home for a little over three years now, living here with my amazing fiancée, Maddy, and our two dogs, AJ and Daisy. I’m originally from Spencer County, where I ran cross country throughout high school—so this sport holds a special place in my heart. I’m passionate about building a team culture rooted in hard work, dedication, and teamwork—but just as importantly, I want to make sure our runners have fun and feel supported every step of the way. I can’t wait to meet our athletes and families and get this season started. Let’s make it a great one—Go Jaguars! P.S-Still looking for an assistant coach!
