Thanks to all of the parents and families who have shared their feedback about EJMS through the annual district survey. We really appreciate the feedback and use it when making decisions at both the school and district levels. Haven’t had a chance yet? There’s still time before the survey closes end of day tomorrow. We want to hear from you!

Dreaming of Disney! 15 of our choir members competed in Festival Disney in Orlando! After a fun flight, they got to experience 3 of the 4 Disney parks, spent time practicing in ride lines, met some characters, gained friendship, and made lifelong memories. We came home with an awesome plaque, a rating of excellent, and a drive to go back and do better next time! Opportunities like these make our choir members #proudtoroar!

Hello EJMS Family and Friends - We're excited for another great week at EJMS and hope you are too! We're excited for kids to show what they know during our spring iReady testing Tuesday and Wednesday, then we've got Red Oak 5th grade visits and our annual matball tournament on Friday. Thanks to all who have shared their feedback and let us know how we can improve our family engagement by completing the district Title 1 Survey. Please take a moment to do that this week if you have not already. The survey will close on Friday, May 1.

Behind every smooth day, solved problem, and smiling front office… there’s an incredible administrative professional making it happen 💙💚

Today we celebrate the organization, patience, multitasking, and heart that keep our school running strong. From answering calls to supporting students, staff, and families—you truly are the backbone of it all.

Happy Administrative Professionals Day to the ones who do it all (and make it look easy)! 🐾 #ProudToRoar

We are still in awe of how colorful, energetic, and extremely awesome our annual Sources of Strength Color Run was on Friday! Thank you to Mrs. Montgomery! She does so many things behind the scenes that make that night possible and without her, we wouldn't be able to do it! Thank you to everyone who came and made Friday a night to remember!

In an effort to ensure Jessamine County students have the high-quality resources needed to compete and thrive in a global economy, our middle school English teachers have spent countless hours piloting highly-rated English curriculums this year. The group focused on choosing a curriculum that highlights rigorous and engaging texts, incorporates research around the science of reading, provides differentiation to meet the needs of all students, and is aligned to Kentucky Academic Standards. The committee will be recommending HMH Into Literature. Below are links with information about this program. Please take a moment to view the brief video and read the introduction letter. In addition, you will find information to look at a student account and a form where we ask that you leave any feedback you might have for our committee. If you would like further information, please reach out to Dr. Neely Traylor, Director of Secondary Schools, neely.traylor@jessamine.kyschools.us.

To kickoff Sources of Strength week, today our Peer Leaders ventured over to Red Oak Elementary to teach the 5th graders all about Sources of Strength. Their message to students was that protective factors are all around us, and we can lean on those supports when needed! They were so excited to share this message, and are looking forward to our celebration on Friday at the District Wide Color Run from 6:00-8:00 PM. Don’t forget, tomorrow we’re wearing yellow or green to promote Positive Friends and Mentors! 💛💚
