Graduate Profile Student Spotlight: Macy Cobane - Responsibility
Macy has truly made a positive impression on Mrs. Grogan by demonstrating Responsibility through her ownership, dependability, and willingness to make thoughtful choices in the classroom! We didn't have enough room to include all her kind words about Macy so we've decided to put them here: "I was also impressed by Macy during our SCAD presentation yesterday. She was genuinely engaged, asked thoughtful questions, and showed a willingness to learn more about opportunities available to her after high school. I love seeing a student take ownership of her future in that way. Macy is bright, responsible, and full of potential. She is already demonstrating the kind of maturity and dependability that makes me confident she will continue to grow throughout the year. I am very proud of the impression she has made in my classroom in such a short amount of time, and I am excited to see what she accomplishes this year."
Way to go, Macy!

We’re so proud of Elise Hussey, who has been named a 2027 National Merit Semifinalist! Elise's hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence have earned her this incredible honor. We’re lucky to have her representing WJHS, and we can’t wait to see what’s ahead for her!

A big THANK YOU to our bus drivers who follow procedures every day to protect our students and get them where they need to go safely! Additionally, a reminder to all drivers: Kentucky has a new school bus law. Take a moment to review the information below and know when you’re required to stop for a school bus. #kysafeschoolsweek #strongrootssafeschools

A safe school is about more than a building—it’s about having people you can turn to. Our Student Services Team is always here for our Colts. Whether a student needs someone to listen, help work through a problem, or connect them with support, our team is ready to show up and help. We’re grateful for the people who make sure our students know: you are seen, you are supported, and you don’t have to navigate things alone. #kysafeschoolsweek
