West Jessamine Middle School

Reminder for incoming 6th graders: Middle School 101 August 7th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Lunch Provided.

All Drop off and Dismissal will be through the front door, enter the WJMS parking lot by the school sign.

Please do not send school supplies on this day. Students may bring supplies on the first day of school.

The Paddock has no lockers, so students are encouraged to carry binders from class to class; backpacks are permitted in 6th grade classes. (7th and 8th graders will be expected to keep backpacks in lockers.)

The crew is laying blacktop for the parking lot behind the school. This will provide teacher parking during the construction and a place for Colts fans to come cheer on the home team for sports. Blacktop is also being laid in the 3rd lane added for drop-off and dismissal.Traffic patterns are coming soon.

Incoming 6th graders, mark your calendars to attend Middle School 101. Check your email and social media a few days prior for an update on the traffic pattern for student drop-off and pick-up.

Big changes are coming for teacher parking and car riders. Here is a look at a parking lot with 70+ spaces being added. This will especially help with teacher parking while construction is underway. There is also a view of the third drop-off lane coming in from Wilmore Rd. ⚠️🚨 Don't worry! As the construction progresses, we will post images and videos of the new drop-off/dismissal procedure for car riders🚨⚠️
