For years, we’ve borrowed the one from EJMS, but now, thanks to Justin’s generosity and craftsmanship, we have our own to proudly display at events and celebrations. We’re so grateful for alumni like Justin who continue to give back and support our Jaguar family.

Christian Price is back where it all began! After a decade-long journey that started with Teach For America and ended with a beautiful family of four, this former EJHS grad is thrilled to return to Jessamine County. A proud 2011 graduate, Mrs. Price is excited to rejoin the Jaguar family and dive into co-teaching math, where she can share her passion for learning while building lasting connections with her students. When she’s not in the classroom, Mrs. Price is a poet, fitness fanatic, and mom of two little boys who keep her on her toes. She’s excited to be closer to family and ready to multiply the joy, subtract the stress, and add all the pride back into her school community. Welcome, home, Mrs. Price!

Big day for our JV Jaguars! They battled hard in today’s tournament, bringing home 2nd place and showing great teamwork all around. Congratulations to our All-Tournament Team selections for East, your effort and sportsmanship stood out! The Jaguars also had a huge 5-1 win over Estill County along the way. Proud of our team for the fight, the hustle, and the heart you brought to the field today!

This summer, Hok Thai has been shooting for the stars—literally. He attended the prestigious Summer Science Program in Astrophysics at UNC Chapel Hill, diving deep into orbital mechanics, stellar theory, and data analysis.Through this opportunity, Hok demonstrated the kind of critical thinking our graduate profile champions, applying complex math, questioning the mechanics of our universe, and exploring solutions with clarity and purpose. His curiosity, drive, and intellect continue to inspire those around him. To catch a glimpse of the program in action, visit @sspastrounc2025! Hok was also accepted into GSA, GSP, and the MIT Beaver Works Summer Institute, an impressive lineup of elite academic programs that reflect his talent, versatility, and dedication.

Attention Seniors!
Are you enrolled in Work Block for the upcoming semester? You are required to attend one of the mandatory Work Block Orientation sessions with Dr. Ruda. During this time, you'll review the expectations and requirements for the course. Orientation will be held at JCTC Central in the multipurpose room.

Yesterday, our East Jessamine High School Student Services Team came together with all JCS student services educators for our annual JCS back-to-school retreat! It was a powerful day of collaboration, planning, and professional growth. We participated in meaningful training sessions focused on how to better support our students academically, socially, and emotionally, because every Jaguar matters. We’re entering the school year united, energized, and ready to walk alongside our students every step of the way. Here’s to a strong start and an even stronger year!

Our Jaguars are taking college-level learning to the next level! For the 2024–2025 school year, 244 East Jessamine students earned a total of 2,193 college credit hours through Advanced Placement and Dual Credit courses! At an average savings of $268 per class, our families are saving big while our students gain a competitive edge toward their college and career goals. Way to go, Jags!
