From smiles and laughter to well-earned fun with friends, our students showed exactly what it looks like to live out our PBIS expectations. Thank you to our staff for making the week special and to our students for their positive choices all semester long. Winter Graduate Profile Recognition was a great success! 🎉 We celebrated over 70 students, enjoyed plenty of donuts, and were inspired by a 2024 WJHS graduate, Abi Bruner, who shared how the Graduate Profile has supported her success beyond graduation. Congratulations to all of our students who demonstrate these attributes every day in our classrooms—we are so proud of you!

Blizzard Wednesday was a hit!

🍪✨ A holiday tradition our students love! ✨🍪 Each holiday season, our students look forward to Sources of Strength cookie decorating during lunch. It’s a festive way to spread cheer, connect with friends, and celebrate the strengths that support us—belonging, positivity, and support—during a busy time of year. These sweet moments make the holidays at school even more meaningful ❤️💚

🫁❤️ Learning to Save Lives in Health & PE!

Today, our Health and PE classes have been learning proper CPR procedures and practicing the steps that can make all the difference in an emergency. Students worked through hands-on demonstrations, learned how to respond quickly and safely, and gained confidence in a skill that truly changes lives.

We’re proud of their hard work and excited to see them building knowledge that extends far beyond the classroom!

A wonderful Christmas concert by West choirs this evening, and a beautiful tribute to Mr. Crawford.

Colts in Mrs. Williams' College Algebra courses spent the day at UK's Gatton College of Business presenting the finals of the stock pitch competitions, touring the facility, and hearing about what college can do for them. Three teams presented their investment recommendations and rationales. Congrats to the winning team of Cooper Garland and Charlie Teater! These classes are investing $300,000 of real money in a variety of stocks. The dividends of which will go to scholarships for WJHS seniors. Thank you to Quint Tatro for facilitating our course and today's visit and to the University of Kentucky for hosting.
