WJHS student Aidan Mitchell attended the Youth Ambassador Leadership Conference for a second time this year, hosted by the office of Andy Barr. The program is "a non-partisan, educational experience designed for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors who attend schools or reside within Kentucky’s Sixth Congressional District. This conference provides a unique opportunity for students to hear directly from Kentucky leaders, while also serving as an ambassador to their school." We look forward to hearing what leaders from around the Commonwealth had to say!

Did you know February is National Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month? CTE opens doors to diverse opportunities, preparing us for success in various fields. Whether it's technology, engineering, family & consumer sciences, agriculture, healthcare, or business CTE equips us with the skills needed to thrive in the real world. Shoutout to all the educators, students, and professionals who contribute to the success of CTE programs! We are so grateful for the opportunities our students at WJHS have in partnership with our JCTC hubs to participate in CTE pathways!

What an incredible week it has been as we came together to celebrate Kindness Week! The halls were buzzing with positivity, and the energy was contagious! From heartwarming compliments to random acts of kindness, our school truly embraced the spirit of compassion and unity. It's amazing to see how a small gesture can make a big difference! The kindness challenges, the friendly competitions, and all the creative ways you shared your love and support made this week unforgettable. Whether it was writing uplifting notes, organizing team activities, or simply smiling at each other in the hallway, every effort made a mark. Let's keep this kindness momentum going beyond just this week! Spread love, be a positive force, and continue to make our school community a place of kindness . Big shout out to everyone who participated and made Kindness Week at WJHS an absolute blast! #WJHSKindnessWeek #KindnessMatters
