Our Jobs for America's Graduates (JAG) teacher, Mr. Tyler, is truly making an impact on our students. He not only invites individuals from a multitude of careers into his classroom to help students get a feel for what jobs are available, but he instills values like teamwork and community service as well. Today, his students spent their day giving back to our school and assisting our custodial staff by cleaning up the grounds and ensuring our facilities look incredible!

It's a huge week at West High! Boys and girls soccer looks to compete for a Region 12 championship, volleyball wraps up the regular season, and East vs West football on Friday night at home! We've got two great events on Friday evening- see the flyers below. Open to everyone- the Show Choir Car Bash competition. Donate and see which half is destroyed more. Congratulations to Palmer Schmidt- WJHS Class of 2025. Palmer was one of 2 Kentucky students named a Presidential Scholar. He was selected from 3.9 million graduates and 6,400 qualified applicants. The selection was based on his academic work and his exceptional scores on the ACT. Palmer completed his high school work at The Craft Academy for Excellence in Science and Math at Morehead State. Way to go Palmer!

Shoutout to our true WJHS School Heroes—our amazing custodial team! They are the backbone of our campus, working tirelessly behind the scenes to keep our building running smoothly and looking pristine.
