A sure sign it’s going to be a great Friday! Huge thanks to Central Office for the Chick-fil-A biscuits to kick off our morning right as we wrap up an awesome Teacher Appreciation Week. We’re grateful for all the ways our staff has been celebrated—well deserved!

It was a great Thursday at West High! Our newest Colt Hero recipients are Mrs. Hudnall and Mrs. Oliver and they are so deserving!🏆 We also ended the day with new cups for staff filled with popcorn! 🍿 Friday is just around the corner!

Good luck to our WJHS Archery Team as they compete at the NASP National Tournament in Louisville today through Saturday! 🎯 Represent WJHS well and have an amazing weekend competing with the best in the state! Go Colts!

Good luck to our West Jessamine Boys Volleyball team as they compete in the 2nd Region Tournament this Friday and Saturday at Pulaski County High School! These guys have worked hard all season, and we can’t wait to see them represent WJHS on the court.🏐

This honor recognizes outstanding juniors who reflect the mind and spirit of Dr. Carter G. Woodson—Berea College alum and the Father of Black History Month—through their leadership and meaningful involvement in their communities.

Maria and Naatol consistently show what it means to lead with purpose, staying actively engaged in their school, civic, and community organizations. We are proud of the impact they’re making and the example they set for others every day.

It was a busy night at West High as the choirs took to the stage for their last concert of the year... The Colts took to the field to make it back to back wins over the Jags and seal the #1 spot in the district... And Tyler Giles took to the mound to pitch the full game W after signing to continuing playing at Frontier Community College. A great night for the Colts!

The pep rally today may have come with a little chill in the air, but that didn’t stop us one bit. Popsicles were still the perfect treat, the energy was high, and the fun showed up in full force.

From relays to volleyball to water balloon tennis, there was no shortage of action—and the best part? Teachers and students joined in the fun. And hey...who doesn't want the opportunity to pie Mr. Marsh in the face? He was such a good sport! Love our Colt family!💙❤️

Today we celebrate our spring student-athletes as they represent West High on the field, track, court, and water! This group of Colts is continuing what has been the most successful athletic year is school history and we can't wait to see how the seasons finish up. Go Colts!
