Today's the day...it's finally here! We can't wait to see our students in the halls in just a couple of hours as we kick off our 2026-2027 school year! The beginning is the most important part of the work...let's make it a great first day! GO COLTS!

Our very own Linda Burton will be retiring soon. For years she has kept the guidance office running smoothly. We thank her for her dedication to WJHS students, staff and families and will miss her dearly. There are no words to express the difference she makes each day! Congratulations, Linda!

Congratulations to an incredible educator, Mrs. Ashley Onkst who is the JCS District High School Teacher of the Year! You are so deserving of this award. Your efforts to encourage and empower students do not go unnoticed. Students, staff, and parents sing your praises and we couldn't be happier that you're a Colt!

JCS Opening Day at West High was perfect! We caught up with one another, locked in on important trainings, and had ribbon cuttings for brand new teachers! It's feeling like the best year yet and we haven't even started! See you in 3 days, Colts!

New Student Orientation was a success! The Class of 2030 and our new students are ready to take on West High! Go Colts! 🐴

A strong start to the season for Lady Colts Soccer. They are undefeated and racking up state level states quickly! Congrats to Kylie, Halle, and Sophie- top 5 in several categories!

It’s almost time, Class of 2027! Your senior year at West Jessamine High School is about to begin, and we can’t wait to see what this year has in store for you! Senior Sunrise is August 28th! Save the date!

For the first time, West Jessamine High School is offering the Colts All Sports Pass.

We wrapped up summer work with lunch for our custodians, as a thank you for all they've done to get us ready to have teachers and students back in the building. This is a great crew who really cares about our kids and our building! Thank you, West High custodians!
